Closed alpha. Not open to the public yet.
Ask one question across every bank statement you have.
You already have statements from more than one bank. Orby reads them on this computer and answers questions across all of them, without asking you to log in anywhere.
You have stopped noticing the problem
You have a checking account at one bank, maybe a credit card at another, maybe savings somewhere else. Each one sends you a statement. None of them talk to each other.
So the question you actually want answered, something like "what did I spend across everything last month", has no home. You could open three PDFs and add it up by hand. You could paste your statements into a chatbot, which means uploading your bank details to a company you don't work with. Most people do neither, and just stop asking.
Orby exists to answer that question, on the computer you already own, without the upload.
Add your statements. Ask in plain language. Get a real answer.
This is what you see when you open Orby: one screen, one thing to do. No dashboard to learn first.

Add a PDF or CSV from each bank. Orby reads them into a database on your machine, the same kind of database a spreadsheet wishes it was, so it can actually do arithmetic correctly instead of a language model guessing at a total. Then ask a question the way you'd ask a person: "how much did I spend in total, and what were my three biggest expenses?" Orby writes the query, runs it, and shows you the answer with the numbers behind it, not just a paragraph asking you to trust it.

What it doesn't ask of you
No bank login. No linking your accounts to a third party. No account with us at all. Your statements go into a database on this machine, not onto a server we run.
That is not the same as a blanket promise that nothing ever leaves. It doesn't, most of the time, and there is one specific case today where it does. We'd rather you read the real mechanism, including that exception, before you install anything.
This is an early alpha
The alpha is deliberately small. Most of the people testing Orby asked us for something like it before we built it, and keeping the group small means every report reaches someone who can act on it.
You're seeing it at that stage. Some banks aren't recognised yet. Answers on a laptop can take a while. A few things are just missing.
We would rather tell you that now than have you find out mid-install. If you're the kind of person who reports what's wrong rather than quietly giving up, that's exactly who this alpha needs.
Who is building this
Orby is built by a small team.
