The people
Orby is built by a small team. We'll put real names and backgrounds here once we're ready to publish them — see Home for the short version in the meantime.
Why we built this
This started from a real, specific problem inside the team, not a market opportunity we spotted. One of us has a family member who does the household's financial planning by hand and won't upload bank documents to a cloud service, on principle. Another has a family member who wanted to check a contract for anything sensitive before putting it anywhere near a chatbot, and didn't have a way to do that safely.
Those are the actual first two people Orby was built for. You're seeing it not long after they did.
